With the Crookes tubes, is there any real concern of X-Rays? I know they make them, but are the levels dangerous?

Curt.

Hi Curt,

We used ignition coils to light Geissler tubes ca 1959. They worked very
well.

I've recently come into possesion of some Crookes and Giessler tubes. Can
anyone suggest a good (and simple) power supply to run these things?

Would an automotive spark coil/light dimmer setup be appropriate?

Thanks,

Curt.
