Hello all. 
I used wood to support the primary tuming on my coil, but you must be sure it 
is vrey dry, and sealed with a coat of poly or shellac, or something. I have 
had no problems with this design. I'll let you know what happens when I fire 
it up running from my pole transformer. :)
