Hi,

I happened to stumble upon some diamond hole saws in a recent Harbor
Freight catalog. The are advertised as "designed to cut holes with
excellent results in glass, marble, slate, and tile." I have not
tried these, but the costs are reasonable:
     1/4", 5/16", and 3/8" set for $4.99,
     7/16" and 3/4" set for $6.99, and
     1/2" and 1" set for $8.99.

They have a web site at http://harborfreight-dot-com and can be called at
1-800-423-2567.
