Daniel,
Last month "power electronics" magazine had a great article about the
importance of gate uniformity in multiple gated circuits. It also had
shown some example circuit designs to correct and eliminate the
problems.

  It was a very interesting and informative article and i meant to
forward it to terry and all.

  since the biggest problem we had on our 600v/12ka scr bridges,
supplying drive for the twin 9000 hp motors at the steel mill was the
gate control boards gateing each phase slightly off sync, resulting in
"phase slamming" loosing six or more blown $900 fuses along with a few
"VERY" expensive scr's, we could have used this new technology!
