All,

Provided that the primary windings are situated at the bottom of the Elams, 
another possible advantage may be harvested:

Having the secondary windings positioned between 2 primary windings may 
reduce the leakage inductance to plate transformer levels, making the 
creation of a stiff supply a possibility.

Based on speculation, not experiment.
