RE: [TCML] Westinghouse PT

What Luck! That is quite a score! It certainly will do way more than the
spec plate at that weight!

Hey guys, yesterday i was at a junkyard and i scored a nice Westinghouse
14400v 1500va PT. I was unsure of it's operating condition as like i said,
it was in a junkyard inside a large steel crate outside with a bunch of
other transformers and it has taken the elements for quite some time. I
took the chance and bought it. It was $15 but when i brought it home and
tested the dc resistance of the windings, they all tested out ok :-) Here
are some pics...

This morning i decided to ballast it with a single mot and try it out. It
worked great and here is a youtube vid
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AkVKMbZvOA&feature=channel_page The thing
is quite a monster and i dont know the exact weight but it is over 100lbs.
It measure in at 10.5" tall and 11.5" wide and 10" deep. Just thought id
share my little find with you guys ;-)
