Re: [TCML] VTTC, 1.75" x 6" spun aluminum toroids

Hi John,

I doubt list members want to hear of my stuff. I really didn't do a lot with the VTTC other than blow up an 833C tube by hooking it up backwards (DOH!) and eventually blowing up my stacatto controller. Well, I'm doing some reformatting of classictesla.com for various reasons and decided to throw up some VTTC stuff for anyone interested, but there's not much to see. I'm using a dual MOT setup in parallel. What I need to do is fix the controller and put those MOTs in series for that all wonderful high voltage where all the long sparks come from ;-) .

I've also put up a DRSSTC page which I've been meaning to do for about a year. Kind of love the DRSSTC. I used the same 8.5" diameter secondary for my old SRSG, TSG, SISG, and whatever.. This time I used that same secondary for this DR coil (just happened to by a higher L coil than most SG's build so it just made the grade). Lord, what a difference! So much better in so many ways, and so much more complicated to build also. Anyway, here's the DRSSTC I did last year. Which I did blow up also (I'm really good at that).

BTW, people may notice classictesla is getting a makeover. I'm not settled on what that will be. Some will hate it, some will love it, some won't care. I got tired of the old look. Every couple years I just play a little. JAVATC and all the meat is still unchanged (at this point).

Take care,
Bart

Hi Bart,

I'm sure list members would enjoy hearing about your experiences in
building, and tuning your VTTC, and the results, and your thoughts about
it all. I certainly would like to hear about it.

Yes the younger generation of TC builders have certainly made impressive
advances in TC technology.

Bart your JAVATC is the gold standard for TC design work !

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all !

Cheers,
John

Hey John, I bought a toroid from you not too long ago for VTTC. Worked
out perfect as I knew it would! You da man!
Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Safe New Years....

Be good everyone...
I hope Javatc is working for you all.. I'm doing DR coils these days and
stuff!
Still coiling and attempting to keep up with the young bucks (in vain)....

Take care,
Bart B. Anderson

Hello all,

I have 1.75" x 6" spun aluminum toroids available for
$72 each. Free shipping within the USA, so it's the
total cost. Spin polish finish, 1/4" center mounting hole.
Quantities limited. Suitable for small spark gap TC's and
for VTTC's, as corona rings/shields, marx generators, etc.
Spun toroids are the "gold standard" for topload excellence.
I use the same< FutureT@xxxxxxx> email address for PayPal.

Bart,

I really like the look of your new site I think it's much cleaner and more pleasing to the eye. Although it's a little off topic we should do a link exchange on our web sites. I list you on mine you list me on yours hehe.

Sorry to get off topic,
